We have been established since 1972 and are a family business with 6 members of the Harris family in the team. Terry Harris and Sons is a partnership and we take our responsibilities to our clients seriously with excellent follow-up once the job is over. Whilest we nurture the craftsmanship of the past we also take advantage of advances in technology and communication which enable us to provide an up-to-date feedback system for all our clients.

We have a core team of 30 workers and can readily draw upon many skilled local tradesmen and professions with whom we have established good relationships.

We run apprentice schemes to ensure that the level of workmanship continues.

Julian supervises the external building work and Stephen oversees the internal works and administration.

Ben Harris was born in Trelights and joined the company as a carpenter/joiner. He served a 4 year apprenticeship with John Nute, a fourth generation master craftsman. Ben is 25 and now training his own apprentice

“Young Philip” started as a labourer in 1991 and quickly progressed as a stone mason. Cobbles is one of his many achievements. He is also a skilled decorator and currently working as a joiner – just one member of a multi-talented team
